Gone Koigu Fishing...

As an end of the school year gift to myself, I bought my first ever skeins of Koigu. I'm digging this colorway- kinda punky, in an 80's way. My plan is to make a pair of the embossed leaves socks from Interweave Knits, but I'm a little worried that it won't look so great when it's put into the leaf pattern. I'm thinking maybe I should rip it out and do the Simply Lovely lace socks instead? What do you think??

  1. I know why you like the coloring....you used to have your hair dyed the same way! Cheeky!

  2. Ha ha!!! That's so funny that you say that- that's how I described the color to Le Fiance :)

  3. That color is great!! I think it will be really stripey & possibly a little pooly for the embossed leaves but that doesn't mean they will look bad. I like stripey lacey leaf socks myself!

  4. I'm thinking that it would probably work okay, but myself, I like my complicated lace patterns to be showcased with plain yarns. I think the simply lovely lace socks might work better.
