World AIDS Day 2005

Support World AIDS Day
Ten years ago on Sunday, someone I loved very much passed away from complications from AIDS. He lived and coped with the virus for over eleven years. Within 6 months of his death, doctors began prescribing the drug cocktail that is currently used for treatment.

Because this treatment is so effective in helping people manage HIV, many people, including many young people, have become complacent about preventing the virus. I don't really know what I can say that hasn't been said, but I urge everyone to USE PROTECTION and GET TESTED.

The button above links to the World Aids Day website- it contains a lot of valuable information on prevention, getting involved in fighting the disease, etc. Please visit.
